Change In Bribery Law Saudi Arabia

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, issued a royal decree amending the anti-bribery system issued by Royal Decree No. M / 26 dated 29/12/1412 AH, after the Cabinet finally approved the amendment.

The amendment provides for replacing the words “for the Ministry of the Interior” with article 17 of the Law, and replacing the words “the Ministry of the Interior” with article 21 of the same system.

Under the amendment, it became the responsibility of the Presidency of State Security to reward the guides for bribery crimes, and to publish and announce the sentences issued in those crimes.

Article 17 of the Law stipulates: “Anyone who is guided to an offense stipulated in the Law and whose information resulted in proving the crime and was not a rasha, partner or intermediary shall be given a reward of not less than five thousand Riyals and not more than half the value of the money. , And the reward is estimated by the authority governing the crime, and the Minister of the Interior may pay a higher reward than the amount determined under this article, after the approval of the Prime Minister.
