Minister of Labor and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, approved the Emiratization rates in the new operation and maintenance contracts in government agencies and companies, in the engineering, specialized, administrative and technical professions, which were included in the decision to raise the Emiratization rates.
The decision determined the percentage of Emiratisation in the targeted professions by the decision to raise the Emiratisation rates as follows:
Administrative (50%): Includes: Electricity, Mechanics, Equipment, Civil, Safety, Information Technology, Public Services, Administration and Support.
Engineering and Specialist (30%):Includes: Electrical, Mechanical, Equipment, Civil, Safety, Information Technology, Public Services, Administration and Support.
Supervisory: (40%) for the areas: electricity, mechanics, equipment, civil, and (100%) for the areas: safety, information technology, public services, administrative and support.
Technical: (30%) for the areas: electricity, mechanics, equipment, civil, and (50%) for the areas: safety, information technology, public services, administrative and support.
Operational and handicraft: (30%) for the areas: electricity, mechanics, equipment, civil, and (70%) for the areas: safety, information technology, public service, administrative and support.
The resolution also granted the right to determine the percentage of Emiratisation for low-skilled workers of government agencies according to their contracts, and on the basis of appropriate Emiratisation opportunities in accordance with the vision of the contracting government.
