Makkah Permit for Hajj 2025 Started
The Passport and Immigration “Jawazat” Department announced that the initial process for issuing “Makkah Permits” for the Hajj season has begun. Individuals can apply for the permit through the Absher platform, while organizations can submit requests for their employees via the Muqeem platform by filling out forms and uploading required documents.
The permits will be issued through the Tasreeh Unified Portal, which is linked to all relevant agencies by the Ministry of Interior. Foreign workers, domestic staff, special residency holders, investors, mothers of Saudi citizens, and citizens of GCC countries are eligible to apply.
The permit is mandatory for those traveling to Makkah during Hajj season for professional purposes. However, current residents of Makkah are exempt. Notably, from April 23, travelers to Makkah and holy sites must obtain the permit; those without it will be turned back.
Additionally, the Ministry of Interior instructed foreigners on Umrah visas to leave Saudi Arabia before April 29.
