Saudi Issued Warning For Pilgrims About Hajj Packages 2025

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has warned pilgrims not to engage in any transactions with unofficial agencies for Hajj. Local pilgrims should book Hajj packages through the Ministry of Hajj’s website or the Nusuk portal.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has strictly instructed those wishing to perform Hajj this year to beware of fake Hajj companies.

Pilgrims from outside the Kingdom should obtain Hajj visas through their countries’ official Hajj missions, which operate in 80 countries. In countries without Hajj missions, pilgrims can book Hajj through the Nusuk Hajj portal. The Ministry also warned domestic pilgrims to book Hajj through officially issued packages available on the Ministry’s website or Nusuk portal.

The Ministry emphasized that only Hajj permits issued by official authorities through the Ministry’s website or portal are valid. Pilgrims must stay cautious of fake Hajj service providers or misleading advertisements.

The Ministry has set up a 24/7 multilingual information center for verified details. Domestic pilgrims can contact the toll-free number 1966, while international pilgrims can call 00966920002814. Email support is also available.

Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj set deadlines for Umrah pilgrims from abroad to enter or exit the Kingdom. Pilgrims can enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah until April 13 (15 Shawwal), after which Hajj season preparations begin. All Umrah visa holders must leave by April 29 (1 Dhu al-Qidah). Staying beyond this date will be illegal.

Saudi Arabia Warns Pilgrims: Avoid Fake Hajj Companies, Use Official Channels

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a stern warning to Hajj pilgrims to avoid unofficial agencies and only use government-approved platforms for bookings. Here’s what you need to know:

Key Guidelines for Pilgrims

  1. Book Through Official Channels:
    • Local Pilgrims: Use the Ministry’s website or the Nusuk portal (a government-run platform) to book Hajj packages.
    • International Pilgrims: Obtain Hajj visas via your country’s official Hajj mission (available in 80 countries). If your country lacks a mission, use the Nusuk Hajj portal.
  2. Beware of Scams:
    • Fake companies often trick pilgrims with false promises. Always verify the authenticity of service providers.
    • Only Hajj permits issued through the Ministry’s website or Nusuk are valid.
  3. Support Available:
    • A 24/7 multilingual helpline is available:
      • Within Saudi Arabia: Call 1966 (toll-free).
      • Outside Saudi Arabia: Dial +966920002814.
    • Email assistance is also provided for inquiries.

Why This Warning Matters

  • Safety & Compliance: Unofficial agencies may lack proper licenses, risking pilgrims’ money and legal status.
  • Saudi Vision 2030: The government is digitizing Hajj services (like the Nusuk portal) to ensure transparency and ease for pilgrims.
