Registering for an Absher Account in Saudi Arabia: A Step-by-Step Guide

As of 2025, Jawazat has transferred all its services to a new website. In this article, we will walk you through the process of registering a new Absher account using new method

Step 1: Visiting the Ministry of Interior Website

To start the registration process, visit the Ministry of Interior website and Make sure to select the English version if you’re not comfortable with Arabic.

Step 2: Creating a New User Account

Click on “New User” and enter your details as required:

– Identification Number: Enter your Iqama or Muqeem number. This is a mandatory field, and you cannot create an account without it.
– E-Mail Address: Enter a valid and working email address. Re-enter the same email address in the “Confirm E-Mail Address” field.
– Preferred Language: Select your preferred language, either Arabic or English.
– Mobile Number: Enter your personal mobile number. This is crucial for accessing your account from anywhere.
– Terms and Conditions: Check the box to confirm that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions.

Step 3: Receiving the Activation Code

Once you’ve entered your details, click on the “OK” button. You will receive an SMS code on your registered mobile number. Your page will be redirected to another page where you’ll need to:

– Enter the Activation Code received via SMS.
– Re-enter your Identification Number (Iqama number).

Step 4: Creating Your User ID and Password

After entering the activation code and identification number, click on “OK”. You’ll be taken to another page where you’ll need to:

– Create a USER ID of your choice. You can use special characters to make it strong
– Create a PASSWORD and CONFIRM PASSWORD. Ensure that the password is a combination of numbers, lowercase letters, and is at least 8 characters long.

Step 5: Activating Your Account

To activate your account, you’ll need to follow one of the methods below:

Internet Banking

1. Log in to your net banking account.
2. Choose “Services” and then select “MOI Registration”.
3. Read the description of the service and accept.
4. Confirm your information and click “Proceed”.
5. You’ll receive an SMS confirming your activation.

ATM Machine

1. Visit the nearest Al Rajhi ATM.
2. Use your ATM card and choose “Other Operations”.
3. Select “Portal of the Ministry Of Interior”.
4. Check your information and complete the registration process.
5. You’ll receive an SMS confirming your activation.

Phone Banking

1. Call 920003344.
2. Enter your customer number and PIN.
3. Select number 5 and then number 4 to activate the Absher service.
